Annotations Import - Import annotation themes (convert annotations to labels)

With this function you can (re-)import annotations from annotation themes as graphic labels in the view, i.e. convert annotations to labels. As a source you can choose any labels (e.g. other AutoCad Annotation Layers, ARC/INFO Annotation Coverages, normal graphic texts, spline texts, mutliple line texts, texts with any rotation, alignment and line spacing). You must first select the labels you want to import using the pointer/selection tool or the function Annotations Select.

• Annotation Features: Choose the annotation themes you want to import (themes in which annotations are selected are marked with a * behind the name). With the button you can select the active, with the visible and with all annotation themes of the view. Press the Shift key while clicking on a button to add these themes to the current selection and the Ctrl key to deselect them.
• Labels: Selected uses only the selected, All uses all labels. The number of the selected and of all labels is displayed behind these two options. If no labels are chosen, you can't run the function (the button isn't active).
• Attach Graphics to Theme: Attaches the imported graphics to a theme (corresponds with the ArcView command Graphics - Attach Graphics), i.e. they are only visible if the theme is visible. You must activate the checkbox before you can choose a theme. Deactivate the checkbox if you don't want to attach the graphics.
• Group Labels by their Symbols: With this option the created graphic labels will be united to groups that share a common symbol, i.e. the same color, font and size (so called Graphic Labels or Siblings). Thereby the size of the project file can re reduced a lot. When formatting one of these graphic labels all other siblings of its group change as well. If this option is deactivated, each graphic gets an individual symbol and can be formatted separately from the others. The size of the project file may increase remarkably though. You can also group or split the symbols of the labels with the function Graphics Convert.
